Duo vie for Broadcast award

Harry Hill and Michael McIntyre are to go head-to-head in another TV award ceremony.

The duo, who are up against each other in two British Comedy Award categories next month, have both been nominated for the Broadcast Award for best comedy.

Shortlisted in that category alongside TV Burp and Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow are Outnumbered, Peep Show, Psychoville and The Inbetweeners – all of which are also up for British Comedy Awards.

The Inbetweeners has also been nominated for Broadcast’s best multichannel programme.

Bill Bailey has landed himself a nomination for best music show for his Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra shortlisted alongside Do It Yourself: The Story Of Rough Trade (BBC Four), Tate That Come To Town (ITV1), Later… Live With Jules Holland (BBC Two) and BBC Two’s Glastonbury coverage.

And in the best entertainment category, Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week are shortlisted with Britain’s Got Talent, Derren Brown: The Event, The X Factor, Top Gear.

The awards will take place at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on January 27.
