Pegg: There will be no more Spaced

Hopes of revival dashed

Simon Pegg has said that he will never return to Spaced.

The sitcom, which ran on Channel 4 for two series, first aired ten years ago today.

Writing on his Twitter page, Pegg said: 'Spaced premiered on Channel 4, ten years ago this month. Happy Daiz but there will be no more. Time to let it go.'

Since then, Pegg has continued his collaboration with Spaced director Edgar Wright on Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Last year, a Spaced remake was planned in America without the original creators' knowledge, but it was never picked up for a series.

Pegg had previously mentioned the possibility of one-off specials of Spaced, but has been quiet on the subject for several years.
