Michael Jackson lives!
Leigh Francis is to resurrect Bo’ Selecta for a one-off special about Michael Jackson.
The comic regularly donned his rubber Jackson mask throughout all three series of Bo’ Selecta, which ran on Channel 4 from 2002 to 2004.
Now he’s making a new hour-long special for E4, Bo’ Selecta Presents Cha'Mone: A Tribute to Michael Jackson, which promises a spoof look at the superstar’s life.
Francis will also mock Uri Geller and David Gest in the new show, which will feature genuine celebrity talking heads, too.
E4 controller Angela Jain said: ‘We're thrilled to have Leigh resurrect Bo Selecta for a very special send-off and send-up. This national treasure and icon will be making an affectionate and, no doubt, hilarious tribute to Mr Jackson.
Francis said: ‘People likened it to the death of Elvis Presley or John Lennon, to me it was like the death of Superman, or the realisation that there was no such thing as Santa Claus.
‘How could a staple of my childhood be no more? I wonder if Michael Jackson had ever seen Bo’Selecta!? This is my tribute to the King of Pop.’
