Baron Cohen named top Jewish comedian

Sacha Baron Cohen is the Jewish community’s favourite Jewish comedian, according to a new poll.He received almost a quarter of the votes in an online poll conducted by the Jewish Community Centre for London. Larry David was next on 15 per cent, closely followed by Woody Allen.
However, several leading Jewish comedians including Groucho Marx never made the list.
Baron Cohen said: ‘I am as honoured to accept this award as Borat would be insulted.’
More than 500 people replied to the survey, which was was run to promote the Jewish Community Centre fundraising gig at London’s Comedy Store tonight.
The top ten was:
1. Sacha Baron Cohen (24%)
2. Larry David (15%)
3 Woody Allen (14%)
4. Jackie Mason (8%)
5. Jerry Seinfeld (6%)

6= Simon Amstell (4%)

10= Sarah Silverman (3%)
