Ben Miller directs double-act comedy

...but it's not based on personal experience, honest

Ben Miller is to direct a new comedy film about a feuding double act – but insists it’s not based on his own experiences with Alexander Armstrong.

The movie will star Danny Mays from Channel 4 sitcom Plus One, and Johnny Harris who was recently seen in Whitechapel on ITV.

Miller, who is about to start work on the movie, said: ‘It’s a fabulous story. It’s about two comedians who do a stand-up double act and they have a feud with each other; they hate each other.

‘While they are struggling to try to make in on the stand-up circuit, they are destroying each other backstage. It’s about the dark side of comedy.’

‘[It’s] nothing like my own double act with Alexander Armstrong; not based on that, no.’
