Charity gig for Lynne Franks, Janet Ellis and Jeni Murray

Radio 4 presenter Jeni Barnett, former Blue Peter star Janet Ellis and PR guru Lynne Franks are to perform stand-up for a charity gig.

The trio will be trained by working comics before facing a live audience at ITV’s London Studios on March 8 - International Women’s Day.

Other celebrities are also expected to join the event, run by Funny Women in aid of ActionAid’s campaigns against domestic violence and HIV/Aids.

Producer Lynne Parker said: ‘They are quite literally standing up for everything that is brave and brilliant about women the world over.’
