Billy to be grilled by his wife
The comic is reportedly ready to sign a deal to appear on the hour-long show, which is made by Glasgow-based independent production company Finestripe.
Stephenson has already written two books about Connolly: 2002's biography Billy, which revealed his childhood abuse, and the follow-up Bravemouth: Living with Billy Connolly.
More 4 boss Hamish Mykura told trade magazine Broadcast that he was planning a whole evening dedicated to Connolly based around the interview.
Stephenson’s highest profile interviewee so far has been Chris Langham, who spoke about his conviction for downloading child pornography.
