Lesbians think Jen is ab fab
Both beat genuinely gay comics Rhona Cameron and Simon Amstell in the poll from awkwardly-named dating website gay-PARSHIP.co.uk.
More than a third of lesbians (34 per cent) named Saunders as the funny female they’d most like to date, followed by Cameron on 25 per cent and Dawn French on 23 per cent.
Catherine Tate (nine per cent), Victoria Wood (five per cent) and Jo Brand (four per cent) barely got a look-in.
Among gay men, the chart was: Deayton (34%), Amstell (30%), Mark Lamarr (17%), Alan Davies (13%), Steve Coogan (4%) Frank Skinner (2%).
Gay-PARSHIP spokesman Adrian Gillan said: ‘This research demonstrates that a good sense of humour is a highly attractive human trait: even setting age before beauty. Veteran hetero-humourists Jennifer Saunders and Angus Deayton appear to have the last laugh, at least in gay affairs.’
