Thomson to join Corrie
...as a down-at-heel kids' entertainer
John Thomson is joining the cast of Coronation Street.The comic-turned-actor will play a down-at-heel children’s entertainer called Jessie.
He will be in three episodes in December, but producers are said to want him for more in future.
A Street spokesman told the Manchester Evening News: ‘We are delighted that John is joining the show. John is a fantastic comedy actor and is perfect for the part of Jessie.’
Thomson will be filming his scenes next month, following in the footsteps of Peter Kay, Sean Hughes and Roy Hudd all of whom have previously appeared in the Manchester soap.
