French and Saunders live

First 2008 dates revealed

Details of he first French & Saunders tour dates of 2008 have been released.

The duo will be going on tour in the spring, their first live dates since 200.

So far 26 gigs have been announced, starting in Manchester on February 25 and ending in Oxford on May 5. However other dates – including a London run – are expected to be added later.

The pair have announced that their current BBC One show A Bucket O' French & Saunders will be their last TV project together.

Saunders said: ‘I'm 49 years old - I don't want to wear a leotard or dress up as a ballerina or a stroppy teenager. There's something a bit undignified about it - I'm an old woman now, for goodness sake.’

Her own BBC Two show, The Life And Times Of Vivienne Vyle, starts next Tuesday.

Like their current TV show, the 2008 French & Saunders tour promises their favourite sketches plus new material. However, tickets for the show will not be cheap - with prices as high as £42.50 for the Birmingham shows, plus booking fees.
