Kay 'to star as binman'

Peter Kay is reportedly set to play a binman in a new comedy co-written by The Royle Family's Craig Cash.

The duo have collaborated on the script are in talks with broadcasters about the series, The Sun reports today. Channel 4 is believed to be the most likely option.

An unnamed insider told the paper: 'They were originally thinking of making a film, but are now doing it for TV. It's really funny.'
