Terry Jones: 'I feel great'
Terry Jones has spoken of his 'miraculous recovery' after his operation to combat bowel cancer.The 64-year-old Monty Python star was seen walking on London’s Hampstead Heath and enjoying a pint in his local pub just nine days after surgery
While there, Jones told a Daily Mail reporter: ‘I feel great. I've fully recovered.’
‘It's miraculous,’ he added. ‘They got it early and the operation went well. It's amazing really. I'm already going for walks on the Heath and pints in the pub.’
He spent the last week being cared for by his 23-year-old girlfriend Anna Soderstrom at their home in Highgate following the operation to remove a growth from his bowel.
Jones's agent Jodi Shields added: ‘His surgeon is fairly confident - they think they've got it early enough.
‘He's in great spirits. We're having to make him stop working.’
