Three of the best
Green Wing, Nighty Night (pictured) and Peep Show are to battle it out for two of the most prestigious awards in TV.
They’ve all been nominated for two Royal Television Society Awards – for bestsitcom , and best comedy writing.
Meanwhile,Peter Kay has been shortlisted for best comedy performance for is role in Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere, where he faces tough competition fromLittle Britain's Matt Lucas & David Walliams, and Tamsim Greig from Green Wing.
And Catherine Tate, whose show started on American TV this week, is up for best on-screen network newcomer against Coronation Street’s Sam Aston and Thomas Morrison from the BBC ONE comedy-drama Blackpool.
The awards will be presented on March 15 at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
