Little Britain and The Office are to go head-to-head in this year’s British Comedy Awards.
They are both up for best TV comedy alongside Julia Davis’ sitcom Nighty Night, which leads the field with three nominees
And Matt Lucas and David Walliams have a joint nomination for TV comedy actor, against Ricky Gervais and Martin Clunes.

Best comedy entertainment personality: Ant and Dec, Jonathan Ross and Paul Merton.
Best comedy entertainment programme: Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Have I Got News For You? and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
Best TV comedy drama: Doc Martin, Jonathan Creek and Shameless
Best comedy actor: Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Ricky Gervais, Martin Clunes.
Best TV comedy actress: Caroline Quentin, Julia Davis and Catherine Tate.
Best comedy newcomer: Catherine Tate, James McAvoy (Shameless), Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding (The Mighty Boosh)
Best international comedy show: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex And The City, The Simpsons.
Best comedy film: Shaun Of The Dead, School Of Rock.
Jonathan Ross will host the 15th annual British Comedy Awards in London on December 22.
