Up to his old tricks

Dom Joly spotted filming new series

Dom Joly is filming a new series for BBC1 called World Shut Your Mouth.

Commuters at Canary Wharf in London today saw the comic having a fierce row with a walking pumpkin.

In a scene similar to many of his Trigger Happy TV stunts, he screamed abuse at the costumed stooge as passers-by looked on.

He told The Wharf newspaper: "It's a really cool, big escalator that looks great on TV and was perfect for the scene.

"He ignores all of the insults until I call him a pumpkin head, when he turns round, spreads his arms and calls for a fight.

"We have tried to film here in the past, but the place has been like an armed fortress. We were really pleased we got permission this time."

World Shut Your Mouth is due to go out in September. This is his first programme for the corporation since BBC Three axed The Dom Joly Show.
