Evans to star in new thriller

Lee Evans is to star as a murder suspect in a new movie.

The comic is currently in Belfast, filming the pessimistically-titled Straight To Video.

He has the lead role as Sean Veil, a paranoid murder suspect who takes to filming himself round the clock to provide an alibi.

But when he is accused of another crime, the one tape that can prove his innocence has disappeared.

According to his agents Off The Kerb, the film also stars Sean McGinley, Colin Salmon and Tipping The Velvet's Rachael Stirling.
