Roseanne's return

Comic signs for reality comedy

Roseanne is returning to TV after a five-year absence with a 'reality workplace comedy".

The show is likely to peek backstage at a cooking or talk show fronted by the abrasive comic, although details are being kept under wraps.

America's ABC network is looking to make 13 episodes of the untitled half-hour show, possibly for summer next year.

Roseanne has previously had run-ins with the network, but differences have been put aside for the new show, with the comic saying: "I'm really, really excited to be back home at ABC."

Producer RJ Cutler told Hollywood bible Variety: "Without giving away too much, there are many layers to the concept of this show.

"Roseanne has a strong vision of what the show will be, but we're still working out the details."
