Duo land C4 special

Oram and Meeten have landed their own Channel 4 Comedy Lab show.

The up-and-coming duo will star in the one-off Matthew and Tone: Tales of Friendship and Innocence, to be aired this autumn.

It is described as a series of vignettes centering on two best friends and social misfits from a small West Country village.

Mackenzie Crook from The Office will make a cameo appearance.

Comedy Lab is an eclectic strand giving new comics the chance to showcase their talents in single half-hour shows. Dom Joly and Peter Kay were discovered through this route.

Before their edition is aired, Steve Oram and Tom Meeten are heading to Edinburgh with their sketch and stand-up show Ding Dong.

The duo have previously appeared in a BT ad.
