Big honour for Corbett
Ronnie Corbett has been awarded an honorary doctorate.
The comedian was given the accolade by Queen Margaret College University in his native Edinburgh.
Corbett, 71, is a patron of the college's drama campus, and spent many years at the youth club which used to be on its site.
Professor Ian Brown, dean of the QMC faculty of arts, said: "It is his achievements in the dramatic arts, as an actor, writer and TV star, that make him a natural choice to receive an honorary doctorate. "
Corbett has previously been awarded an OBE for his work.
