Woman in custody

A Ken Dodd fan has appeared in court on charges of harassing the comic's partner.

Ruth Tagg was remanded in custody after allegedly sending several letters to Anne Jones the former dancer who has been his partner for 20 years.

Tagg, of Bedminster, Bristol, was arrested in Merseyside on May 4 - the day Dodd was performing in New Brighton, Wirral.

The 34-year-old will reappear at Wirral Magistrates Court on June 10.

Dodd lives with Jones in Knotty Ash, Merseyside.
