Coogan says 'burger off'

£1m McDonald's offer spurned

Steve Coogan has turned down a £1million deal to advertise McDonald's.

The burger giant wanted him to appear in a TV campaign as hapless Alan Partridge.

But he refused, saying: "I'm not their biggest fan."

Coogan also turned down a role on Father Ted, The Sun reports today.

His agent apparently advised against it - saying the show was no good.
