I've found my level
Jo Brand says she's getting a much older crowd to her stand-up shows these days, and that suits her fine.
She says grannies have been coming to see her current tour - and that makes for a much different atmosphere than teenage lads at comedy clubs.
And Brand says she believes she's found her level of fame now, playing medium-sized theatres but going no further.
"When you're new to stand-up, each experience is a new one," she told London's Time Out magazine. "But that can't go on forever.
"I think you get to a point that you're comfortable to rest at. With me it's doing this size of theatre.
"Theatres impose a natural subservience on people, and I don't want to spend the rest of my life putting down 12-year-old psychopaths. It was great when I was doing it, but that gets boring in the end.
"A few nights ago, there were a couple of grannies in the front row. That was nice. They were surrounded by couples, and I get a lot of gay blokes, groups of women, too. But no lads."
