Comedy Legends profiled
Comedy heroes Laurel and Hardy, Peter Sellers and Benny Hill are to feature in a BBC2 documentary series next year.
The biographies, provisionally titled Legends, are not due to be screened until next autumn, but segments of the show have already been filmed.
A camera crew has been spotted shooting footage for the Benny Hill episode in Easleigh by the Southern Daily Echo.
The comic is said to have devised his most famous comedy character, Ernie, while working as a milkman in the Hampshire town.
A BBC spokesperson said: "The series is about the greatest entertainers of the twentieth century. Benny Hill is loved all over the world, especially in America and Japan."
