TV slot for Billy's Irish tour

Another series of Billy Connolly's World Tour Of is to be screened on BBC1.

A film crew followed the comic on the Irish leg of his sell-out tour earlier this year, and the results will be seen this winter.

Connolly has previously hosted World Tours of Australia and Scotland.

Other comedy highlights in the new schedules include Jasper Carrott and Meera Syal in the sitcom All About Me, about bringing up a disabled child; Lenny Henry in Pieces; The Johnny Vaughan Show; and Dawn French and Stephen Tompkinson in the romantic comedy drama Ted and Alice.

Also, Scottish comedy sketch show Chewin' The Fat gets a network airing.
