Double trouble
A new BBC2 comedy is to mock up candid footage of celebrities.
Spoofs being planned by Double Take include Tony and Cherie Blair frolicking in bed and Sophie Rhys Jones being trapped by the News of the World's fake sheikh.
The skits will be shot on deliberately poor-quality video to look like covert filming by artist Alison Jackson, the woman behind the recent Schweppes adverts featuring Camilla Parker Bowles stepping into a wedding dress.
BBC2 controller Jane Root has ordered a 50-minute edition of Double Take review of the year for December 27, which will act as a pilot.
Ms Root told MediaGuardian.co.uk: "It's a new form of celebrity entertainment show. They are not the real people. But there's always that moment when you look at it and go 'oh my god, is that...?'."
Other targets in the Tiger Aspect show will include Posh and Becks, Madonna and Guy Ritchie and even Osama Bin Laden.
Some of the voices will be supplied by the team behind Radio 4's Dead Ringers.
