Three young comedy writers are to have their work commissioned by the BBC after winning a talent hunt.

The BBC Nations Comedy Cup sought out new writers from Scotland, Wales and Norther Ireland.

A winner was chosen from each nation, and each will now have their scripts made into pilot shows for radio.

They are Geoff Cawood (Scotland) for Nice Device, Jon Blake (Wales) for Degrees R Us and Paul Skillen (N. Ireleand) for Heavies for Hire.
