Kathy Burke loses 'buzz'

Kathy Burke says she's giving up acting because it's Losing It attraction.

The star of Gimme Gimme Gimme, which is moving to BBC1 next month, is to become a full-time director.

Burke, 37, is also known for her roles as Waynetta Slob and teenager Perry in Harry Enfield's TV show.

But she said: "I directed earlier this year and it was the happiest I've been for ages.

"I've been acting for 20 years but I'm losing the buzz, so it's better to stop than carry on for the sake of it.
