Character name to cause a storm

First he was a B'stard, now he's a Cnut.

Rik Mayall is sure to outrage clean-up TV campaigners with his new sitcom character, university professor Adonis Cnut.

The show was written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran - the same duo who wrote The New Statesman, in which Mayall played deceitful Tory MP Alan B'stard.

The show is provisionally titled Believe Nothing, The Mirror reports
