Hitchhiker's returns
The original Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy radio series are to be repeated as a tribute to its creator Douglas Adams.
First aired in 1978, the show spawned a TV show (that has already been re-screened) and a series of novels and computer games.
Radio 4 is running all 12 episodes in the two series at 6.30pm on consecutive Wednesdays, starting next week.
And as an introduction, a tribute to Adams - who died of a heart attack in May - will be broadcast tomorrow.
Friends including Stephen Fry, Griff Rhys Jones and Terry Jones will share their memories of Adams, who conceived the idea for the Hitchhikers Guide as he lay drunk in a field in Innsbruck, looking up at the stars, during a backpacking trip in the early Seventies.
