Win Mindhorn on DVD
Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby’s comedy movie Mindhorn has been released on DVD and Blu-ray today – and we have six copies to give away.
In the film, Boosh star Barratt plays a washed-up actor, Richard Thorncroft, who starred in a 1980s TV series as Bruce Mindhorn, a detective who fought crime on the Isle of Man with the help of his cybernetic eye that could ‘see the truth’.
Twenty-five years later, an escaped lunatic, Paul Melly (Russell Tovey), who is on the run for murder, says he will only speak to Detective Mindhorn, believing him to be real.
Co-writer Farnaby plays his former stuntman, Clive Parnevik, who is now living with his co-star and former lover, Patricia (Essie Davis).
The cast also includes Andrea Riseborough, Jessica Barden, Harriet Walter and Steve Coogan. Click here for our review of the film, which was directed by Sean Foley.
Extras on the DVD and Blu-ray – which are relased by Studiocanal – include an audio commentary with Barratt and Farnaby, a Mindhorn featurette, the Clive Parnevik stunt master-class, in ‘the mind of Mindhorn’, a Richard Thorncroft interview and the music video ‘You Can’t Handcuff the Wind’.
