A bunch of stand-up and cabaret stars have turned to a platform best known for its adult content to help them get through the lockdown.

OnlyFans has compiled a list comedy performers who have started offering content on their site, which has been embraced by porn stars both professional and amateur thanks to its over-18s policy.

But the same rules also means comics can rant and swear and address adult themes more freely than they could on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube or Instagram, the company argues, making it more like a no-holds-barred comedy club.

It is not the first tie-up between comedy and adult entertainment industries during the lockdown, as New York comedy club Stand Up NY previously teamed up with adult entertainment website CamSoda to stream a show 

New comedy recruits include:

THOM TUCK who was nominated as Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2011 for Thom Tuck Goes Straight-to-DVD, which was subsequently adapted into a BBC Radio 4 show.
