Tony Richardson – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2005
A bit too relaxed, in fact, as his more whimsical anecdotes can come across as too long-winded and pointless. While charm goes a long way, it’s punchlines we really need.
Yet he still shows promise, with some of his routines offering some impressive gags, such as his imaginative recreations of penguins’ flapping wings.
But, as a still-learning comic, he’s too inconsistent in his writing. It’s most likely a failing of youth, so might yet achieve a solid set to match the nonchalant assuredness of his manner.
