Tim Craven – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2007
Tim Craven has an impressive presence: cheeky, bold and personable with a collection of self-deprecatory one-liners to break the ice.
He banters away with friendly energy as he made amusing observations about student ideas of friendliness or his own expanding waistline.
What makes his set, however, is a ‘poem’ full of inappropriately nasty, misogynistic invective. It’s all very wrong, but very ironic – think along the sensibilities of Ricky Gervais’s stand-up – and it gets the laughs.
