Richard Morton
Musical stand-up Richard Morton has been a stand-up for more than 20 years. In 1990, he was a founder member of the Comedy Store’s topical Cutting Edge show, with producer John Connor once saying: ‘He was the key to why the show was successful’.
In 1997, he was given his special edition of Channel 5’s stand-up show The Comedy Store, and made his Edinburgh Fringe debut the following year.
He has also been a frequent support act on UK tours, warming up for the likes of Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus.
As a musician, he released The Theme That Never Was is 2009 – an acclaimed album of fictional theme tunes to non-existent Sixities and Seventies TV shows.
