Hailing from Cork, Ireland but now based in Glasgow, Pearse James began his comedy career in 2009, and the following year got to the final of the Take The Mic competition for Scottish-based acts, which carried the biggest prize in British comedy at the time. He also made the final of the Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2011
