Kitson triumphs at Chortles
The winners of Chortle's live comedy awards have been announced - with Daniel Kitson taking two honours.
He was named the Comedians' Comedian, as well as winning the award for best full-length performance for his Edinburgh show Something.
However, he was narrowly beaten in the People's Choice awards by Ross Noble, who also saw off tough competition from Peter Kay to win the category for the second year running.
Elsewhere, Live Floor Show host Dara O'Briain was named best headliner, and another regular on the show, The Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolfe III, took home the Breakthrough Act award.
In the venues categories, most of last year's winners retained their titles, although The Comedy Store won the large London category.
The winners were announced at a ceremony in London hosted by Barry Cryer and Julia Morris.
