Kim Noble

Kim Noble first came to prominence as half of the comedy duo Noble And Silver (with Stuart Silver) who won the 2000 Perrier Award for Best Newcomer, which was followed by a six-part E4 series Get Off Me! in the following year.

Since then Noble has come known for dark solo pieces that are as much performance art, as they are comedy. He won the Chortle award for innovation in 2010 for Kim Noble Will Die.

He has also appeared in The Mighty Boosh, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, and Man to Man with Dean Learner.

Kim Noble writes autobiographical graphic novel

'Darkly funny voyage from the bleakness of everyday life'

Comedian and performance artist Kim Noble has written a memoir in graphic novel form

In Pursuit Of A Wonderful Nothing is described as ‘a fragmented odyssey of artistic survival and longing’.

Indie publishers Cheerio – which will release the book on May 28 – say: ‘Pieced together to tell the story of the everyday theatre of his life, the graphic novel presents a treasure hunt through the weird tides of love, sex, loneliness and the art of staying afloat.’

The add that the book is ‘reconstructed through hand-drawn illustrations, artefacts, photographs and absurdist musings by Noble [who]  transforms the bleakness of everyday life and his artistic struggles into a darkly funny voyage through time and space while balancing dead-end jobs in the pursuit of an artistic spotlight as romance fizzes and reality unravels.’

Noble’s provocative theatre work blurs the line between art and reality and has included Kim Noble Will Die m which gained an unprecedented 6 stars out of 5 in Time Out when it was performed at Soho Theatre.

He once spent 72 hours in a London sewer for content purposes, lived with a family of foxes for three weeks and spent six months pretending to work in Ikea and B&Q. Noble also has screen credits including The Mighty Boosh and Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace.
