Josh Jones joins Dancing On Ice

...Even though he can't skate and has no rhythm!

Josh Jones is to take part in the next series of Dancing On Ice, it has been announced,

The comedian was unveiled as the sixth of the 12 celebrities confirmed to be taking part in the new series this morning.

Speaking on Gaydio he said: ‘I’ve not got any skating experience whatsoever, I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn't very good, I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren't together now.

‘My dancing isn't great either, for a gay man I have no rhythm, I struggle to clap along to a beat so this will be fun.’

The news was also announced on Dancing On Ice’s social media channels, with a post reading: ‘Dancing on Ice is no laughing matter, and comedian @joshyjones92 hopes to keep his funny bone intact!’

Jones follows in the footsteps of comedians such as Lou Sanders, who took part earlier this year, and Darren Harriott who was a 2023 contestant. Both were fifth to leave the ITV show.

Other stars confirmed to be taking part in the next series of Dancing On Ice when it returns in the new year are: TV personality Ferne McCann, Traitors star Mollie Pearce, Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave, Coronation Street star Sam Aston and EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks.

The show is hosted by Holly Willoughby and presented by Stephen Mulhern, who replaced  Phillip Schofield last year.
