Des Clarke to host a BBC Scotland Hogmany celebration
Des Clarke is to present BBC Scotland’s Not Quite End Of Year Show it has been announced.
The show airs on New Year’s Eve, ahead of the main Hogmanay celebration, and promises ‘music, laughter, and reflections on Scotland’s standout moments from 2024’
Clarke – host of BBC Radio Scotland’s topical panel show Breaking The News – said: ‘It’s such a joy to be part of Hogmanay on BBC Scotland. 2024 has been filled with so many incredible moments, and I can’t wait to look back on them with our guests’
The main Hogmanay 2024 programme will air lateron BBC One Scotland, hosted by broadcaster Amy Irons.
Steve Allen, commissioning executive at BBC Scotland said: ‘We’re delighted to have Amy and Des leading BBC Scotland’s Hogmanay celebrations as we say goodbye to 2024.
‘Hogmanay is a special time for audiences in Scotland to come together and I know Amy and Des will host the perfect party as we welcome in 2025.’
