Cariad Lloyd joins R4's Round Britain Quiz
Cariad Lloyd is to become a contestant on Radio 4's Round Britain Quiz – taking on fellow comic, ITV Chaser and hardcore quizzer Paul Sinha.
Lloyd joins crime writer Myfanwy Alexander to represent Wales, while Sinha’s teammate representing the South of England is writer and Private Eye journalist Marcus Berkmann.
Their first clash will air on March 11 at 3pm – the opening episode of this year's series – with a return battle airing later.
Sinha, above, has long been a regular on the show, which is currently hosted by Kirsty Lang but which has been a BBC radio staple since 1947.
Lloyd’s involvement in the new series was first spotted by the British Comedy Guide.
She is also taking part in the Chortle Comedy Book Festival at the British Library this Sunday, where she and Sara Pascoe will be in conversation with Tim Key. More details here.
