New Radio 4 series for Andrew Maxwell
Andrew Maxwell is to make a new Radio 4 comedy series about the world of work.
Over four episodes of Andrew Maxwell’s Values, the stand-up will investigate why we have traditionally valued some jobs above others – and whether the Covid pandemic has given us a new understanding of the importance of jobs such as lorry driver or Cornish fisherman.
Maxwell is known to Radio 4 listeners as a News Quiz regular, though his own show Public Enemies, about possible threats to British Society, and as host of Welcome to Wherever You Are, which featured stand-ups performing around the world.
The new shows are to be recorded in front of an audience at Up The Creek comedy club in South London later this month, and free tickets are available here.
