Camilla Cleese pens a comedy about nepo babies

comedyJohn Cleese’s daughter Camilla has written a comedy about people who become famous off the back if their parents success.

‘She’s written a sitcom called New Baby,’ the Monty Python star told the Daily Mail. ‘It’s very funny.’

It’s a subject the 40-year-old comedian might be familiar with. She is writing a rebooted Fawlty Towers with her father, this time set in an exclusive Caribbean resort and based around Basil’s daughter.

She also penned a musical stage adaptation of her dad’s film, A Fish Called Wanda,

And when Camilla appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018, ‘produced by John Cleese’ was in her show’s title.
