Roy Chubby Brown caught parking in a disabled bay

...but it turns out it's legit

comedyAn Instagram user thought he'd got Roy Chubby Brown bang to rights, when he caught him on camera, parking in a disabled space without a blue badge.

The 73-year-old comic's silver Lexus, with the personalised licence plate RCB 250, was snapped outside the Holiday Inn in Bromsgrove, near Birmingham, last week.

But it turns out the comic, real name Royston Vasey, had done nothing wrong.

Rules for parking on private property are set by car park owners, and the comic has been given the OK to use the disabled spaces whenever he stays at the hotel because of all the kit he carries. The Holiday Inn confirmed the arrangement to Chortle.

In any case, Brown’s manager, Tony Jo, joked that 'Chubby does have a disability – he's got Tourette's!'
