ITV orders more Little Big Shots
ITV have commissioned a second series of Dawn French-fronted talent show Little Big Shots.
The programme, based on a US format, puts the spotlight on talented children aged four to 13 – without a competitive element.
French said: ‘I absolutely loved filming the first series and cannot wait to get started on the second. I get to hang out with incredibly talented children from all over the world, making new friends on the sofa each week.
‘I will never forget Balang from the Philippines, who had me in fits of giggles while teaching me a move or two, or Thomas who sang David Bowie’s Space Oddity so beautifully! In our crazy upside-down world, it is great to make a show that is just so positive.’
Series one launched in March with 4.6 million viewers in overnight figures, dropping in subsequent weeks to an average 3.9million.
Six hour-long episodes have been ordered from production company Wall To Wall.
