Tape Face announces West End run
Innovative silent comedy act Tape Face has announced a seven-week season in London’s West End.
His run at the 732-seater Garrick Theatre next year follows his success on this year’s America’s Got Talent, where he made the final.
As part of his run on the NBC show he persuaded Mel B to wear a toilet seat on her head, in front of an audience of more than 14 million viewers – and prompted Simon Cowell to compare him to a modern-day Charlie Chaplin.
Producers Kilimanjaro say the new run will be a ‘bigger, brighter and more theatrically spectacular re-imagining’ of Sam Wills’s mime act, formerly known as The Boy With Tape On His Face.
He is currently winding up a 52-date UK tour and tickets for the new run in June and July next year go on sale at 10am on Friday.
