Stephen Fry to go on tour
Stephen Fry is to embark on a UK tour.
Stephen Fry Live! will coincide with the publication of the star's latest volume of memoirs, the title of which is as yet undisclosed, with the £29.50 ticket price including a copy of the book.
The short tour, which begins at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall on September 24, followed by Colston Hall, Bristol on the 25th, Sheffield City Hall on the 28th, Edinburgh Festival Theatre on the 29th and the Royal Festival Hall in London on October 1st, .is described as 'stories from the book, anecdotes and a smattering of Fry stand-up' by his publicist.
Tickets for Edinburgh's Festival Theatre September 29 are already on sale, with the Bristol date on sale at 10am tomorrow morning.
The news comes as Fry received his first Tony award nomination yesterday – for his Broadway debut as Malvolio in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
Fry's next prominent acting role is as the British Prime Minister in the latest, London-set series of the terrorism drama 24, which begins airing on Sky One next Wednesday.
His previous memoirs, The Fry Chronicles, was 2010's biggest autobiographical seller in the UK, and sold over one million copies worldwide. His first volume, Moab Is My Washpot, was published in 1997.
