Detective comedy-drama coming to BBC One this month

Here’s a trailer for the new comedy drama Ludwig, starring David Mitchell as an accidental detective.

The show, which launches on BBC One on September 25, revolves around John  Taylor, a loner who does not own a computer, mobile phone or even a television, but lives in quiet solitude, designing puzzles for a living, under the nom-de-plume of Ludwig. 

But when his brother James – a successful DCI leading Cambridge’s busy major crimes team – goes missing, John takes over his  brother’s identity in a quest to discover his whereabouts.

Motherland and Line of Duty star Anna Maxwell Martin  plays Lucy, James’s wife, in the 'case-of-the-week’ crime show.

The cast also includes Dipo Ola, Gerran Howell, Izuka Hoyle, Dylan Hughes  and Dorothy Atkinson and the show has been weitten and created byMark Brotherhood
