Netflix documentary about the history of queer comedy

Netflix has released the trailer for Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, and revealed it will premiere globally on June 18 .

The feature-length documentary examines the history of queer stand-up and how it has been 'an instrument for social change over the past five decades, actively reflecting and challenging cultural norms and values', according to producers

The film combines stand-up sets and  interviews, as well as archive footage.

Contributors include Hannah Gadsby, Tig Notaro, Mae Martin, Eddie Izzard, Lily Tomlin, Sandra Bernhard and Wanda Sykes.
