New Netflix special

Netflix has released a trailer for Katherine Ryan's second comedy special, Glitter Room, ahead of its July 1 release.

In 2017, she became only the second British-based comedian to have a special released globally on Netflix after Jimmy Carr, when her tour Kathbum was released as In Trouble.

Since then she was a team captain in Netflix’s first bash at a panel show, The Fix, opposite DL Hughley with Carr as host.

She is also making a six-part sitcom for the platform called The Duchess, inspired by her real life, about a ‘fashionably disruptive’ single mum living in London. 

Glitter Room was taped in December at The Belasco Theater in Los Angeles as part of Ryan’s tour, which included a month-long run at the Garrick Theatre in London’s West End.

Last week it was announced that Ryan would also be tracing her family tree in the next series of BBC One's Who Do You Think You Are?
