For his forthcoming Netflix special

Netflix has released the first trailer for Ricky Gervais's stand-up special Humanity.

'I don't know why I've called it that,' he says. 'I'm not a big fan.'

The clip also shows him indulging his messiah complex, when he says: 'I'm just an ordinary guy going around talking to people – sort of like Jesus. But better. Well, I've actually turned up.'

The special will be released via the on-demand service on March 13.
